My approach to art is similar as my approach to life. There is beauty in life and throughout our daily routines that is often overlooked. To be able to stop, look at something (anything) and see it as it really is -- shape, color, uniqueness, simplicity -- causes us to see things more clearly and hopefully appreciate it more. I enjoy the beauty and power of horses and hope to continue my studies on equine form.
Oil is my preferred medium, as it can provide high impact and a rich, lasting quality. I also work with stained glass and have produced several windows in private collections -- ranging from a design of the submarine USS HONOLULU to the Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, MD.
